When calculating your compensation, we consider the following:
- Purchase value: We start with the original purchase value of your bicycle.
- Excess deduction: a deductible of 10% of the insured value applies to each claim. The deductible varies slightly depending on the type of claim:
-
- For theft or total loss:
- a standard deductible is applied, with a minimum of €50 and a maximum of €200 per claim.
- For reparable material damage:
- An English deductible* is applied, with the same minimum of €50 and maximum of €200 per claim.
- For theft or total loss:
3. Depreciation (for older bikes):
-
-
-
- No depreciation is applied for the first 5 years of your bicycle's coverage. You will be reimbursed for the insured value, minus the excess.
- Starting in the 6th year of your contract, depreciation is applied as follows:
- 6th year: A depreciation of 15% is applied to the insured value.
- 7th year: A depreciation of 30% is applied.
- 8th year: A depreciation of 45% is applied.

*English deductible means that:
- If the repair costs exceed the deductible, we will cover the full cost.
- If the repair costs are less than the deductible, you will be responsible for covering the full amount, and we will not compensate.
