Do I always need to lock my bike for it to be covered?

• If stored in public or shared spaces: Yes, if your bicycle is stored in a public area or a room shared with people outside your household, it must always be attached by the frame to a fixed point using a certified lock.

• If stored in a private, locked space: If your bicycle is stored in a locked, private space like a basement, garage or your own property, and only you or members of your household have access, it’s not mandatory to lock the bike.

Note: You can attach two bicycles with the same lock, as long as they are properly secured according to these guidelines.
